Safety and Compliance

Please read through all applicable sections.

For your protection and comfort, HumanCentric Ventures LLC (“HumanCentric”) has implemented protective measures in this product designed to ensure that the product operates in compliance with government safety standards.

WARNING! Improperly replaced batteries may present a risk of leak or explosion and personal injury. Mistreated rechargeable batteries may present a risk of fire or chemical burn. Do not open, mutilate, or expose to conducting materials, moisture, liquid or heat above 54° C. Do not use or charge the battery if it appears to be leaking, discolored, deformed, or in any way abnormal. Do not leave your battery discharged or unused for extended periods. Do not short circuit. Battery life varies with usage. Non-operational batteries should be discarded according to local laws. If no laws or regulations govern, dispose of your device in a waste bin for electronics. Keep batteries away from children.

Class 1 Laser Product: This optical device complies with International Standard IEC/EN 60825-1:2007, Class 1 Laser Product, and 21 CFR 1040.10, 1) Emission of one or two independent parallel beams of infrared user-invisible light; 2) Maximum power of 716 microwatts CW, Emitted wavelength is 832-865 nm; 3) Operating temperature between 5° C and 40° C.

WARNING! Use of controls, adjustments or performance of procedures beyond those specified herein may result in hazardous radiation exposure.

The product contains Class 1 LED, Operating temperature between 0° C and 40° C.

Class 1M Laser product: This optical device complies with International Standard IEC/EN 60825-1:2007, Class 1M Laser Product, and 21 CFR 1040.10, except for deviations pursuant to Laser Notice No. 50, dated June 24, 2007; 1) Emission of diverging beam of minimum +/-2° of infrared user-invisible light; 2) Maximum power of 1.4 milliwatts CW, Emitted wavelength is 832-865 nm; 3) Operating temperature between 5° C and 40° C.

WARNING! Laser Radiation, Viewing the laser output with magnifying optical instruments within a 100mm distance may pose an eye hazard.

GENERAL SAFETY INFORMATION!

  • If you have a pacemaker or other electrical medical devices, consult your physician before using this product.
  • This package contains small parts that may be hazardous to children and should be kept out of reach from children. This product is not a toy – never allow children to play with this product. Always store the product out of reach from children. The bags themselves or the many small parts they contain may cause choking if ingested.
  • Never try to dismantle the product yourself, or push objects of any kind into the product, as this may cause short circuits which could result in a fire or electric shock.
  • None of the components can be replaced or repaired by users. Only authorized dealers or service centers may open the product. If any parts of your product require replacement for any reason, including normal wear and tear or breakage, contact your dealer.
  • Avoid exposing your product to rain, moisture or other liquids to protect against damage to the product or injury to you.
  • Keep all products, cords, and cables away from operating machinery.
  • Observe all signs and instructions that require an electrical device or RF radio product to be switched off in designated areas such as hospitals, blasting areas, potentially explosive atmospheres, or aircrafts.
  • If the product overheats, if the product has been dropped or damaged, if the product has a damaged cord or plug, or if the product has been dropped in a liquid, discontinue use and contact HumanCentric
  • Never mount or store the product over any airbag deployment area, as serious injury may result when an airbag deploys.
  • Do not use in areas where there are explosive hazards.
  • Unplug the product during extreme weather, or when the product is not used for long periods of time.
  • Protect the cords from being damaged or pinched.
  • Dispose of the product according to local standards and regulations
  • Do not direct the infrared/laser beam at anyone’s eye or a reflective object.
  • Do not immerse product in any liquid or expose to heat or moisture.
  • If product is exposed to out-of-range temperature environments, power off the device until temperature has stabilized within the specified operating temperature range
  • Long periods of repetitive motion using the product may be associated with nerve, tendon or muscle injury in your hands, wrists, arms, shoulders, neck or back. See a qualified health professional or pain, numbness, weakness, swelling, burning, cramping, or stiffness. 

MAINTENANCE

  • Clean the product by wiping with a dry or slightly damp cloth.

The Bluetooth® word mark and logos are owned by the Bluetooth SIG, Inc. and any use of such marks by HumanCentric is under license. Other trademarks and trade names are those of their respective owners.

Wireless DECT standards vary depending on local legislation. Make sure that your product corresponds to the standard used in your country by ensuring that the product is purchased through a local source of distribution.

FCC and IFETEL (wireless equipment):

This device complies with part 15 of the FCC rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.

Users are not permitted to make changes or modify the device in any way. Changes or modifications not expressly approved by HumanCentric will void the user’s authority to operate the equipment.

This device and its antenna must not be co-located or operating in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter. Non body-worn devices must be placed at least 8” (20cm) away from the body.

FCC and IFETEL (corded equipment):

This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation.

This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:

  • Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
  • Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
  • Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
  • Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
